A friend of mine at work knew I was into electronics and he reached out to me with a request. He was a diehard Knight Rider fan (who isn't?) and he wanted a way to play the music and sounds that the car KIT made in the show. I came up with a design that would allow him to remotely (using a remote inside the car) start and stop the playback of sounds. I used an inexpensive remote and loudspeaker from Amazon, the infamous DF Player Mini and a high power audio amplifier board. It ran off of the 12V car electrical system. The enclosure also included a pontentiometer so he could adjust the volume of the loudspeaker. The sound files were copied to the SD card in the DF Mini Player which means he could change them up as he wished.
This is the remote receiver wrapped up in Kapton tape for protection from the elements and to prevent shorting with the other boards.
